Fractions and decimals: how are they related.
0.25 = 1/4
0.5 = 1/2
0.75 = 3/4
But what do we need to do to read this and understand this…
1 divided by 4 =====
1 divided by 2 =====
3 divided by 4 =====
Here is something to watch about what we are learning in maths at the moment.
Here is some of the maths we have been focusing on:
On Area and Perimeter- The formulae for Area is:
A= Width X Length
The formulae for Perimeter is:
P= A + B + C + D
We are learning to identify line and rotational symmetry
– I am able to visualise a polygon or object being rotated (rotational symmetry)
– I am able to visualise a polygon or object being divided into equal parts (line symmetry)
– I can find lines of symmetry and draw them
– I can rotate polygons
– I can demonstrate line and rotational symmetry
BIG QUESTION NO1:
What is a polygon?
polygon: a plane figure with at least three straight sides and angles, and typically five or more.
BIG QUESTION NO2:
What is symmetry? We want to look at 2 types of symmetry.
Draw 5 Shapes that have line symmetry and 5 shapes that have rotational symmetry.
How much data is round!
We are looking our fitness and combining this with our mathematics focus of data. We have been doing 1 minute exercises and recording the data.
Have you improved?———-Gone backwards?———- What does the data say?
